what's new

nothing much really just some minor mishaps oh and we've discovered the sibling revelry stage of sisterhood the other day miss grace took a toy from Robyn and Robyn smacked her in the face so grace retaliated by smacking her sister in the head with a drum stick that she convently found right at her height to witch Robyn answered with an ear piercing shriek and knocking her sister to the ground and sitting on her while pulling her hair. (OK so were are mom and dad while all of this is happening) actually we were watching and have decided that in some things it's better to let them work it out. So at the hair pulling I stepped in and as I ask "Robyn what are you doing" she looks over her shoulder and yells "back off mom i can handle this" OK so in steps mom and hands off the sassy mouth to dad and a little cuddle for the pitiful little sister and two minutes later they are happily playing again. Robyn is learning the difference between boys and girls when asked the other day why boy's were boy's she (who is allergic to peanuts) responds with because they can have peanuts and girls like me cannot. (OK so I'm not gonna argue with that and her interpretation of the word we're trying to learn sounds A LOT like peanut) So moving on to their newest fascination hats when or were it came from I haven't a clue but now on top of madly trying to find two pair of mated socks and matching shoes and clean tops that match the pants I now have to (or we're not gonna get out of the house and to the daycare in time) add a matching hat. So OK things are pretty uneventful it's get up get dressed work and school home naps dinner bed unwind and start over again but the kids sure add so much entertainment to life it's hard to get bored.

Summer!!!

Hello there all you people that read our little blog. We thought we would update you all, Joe is now an official employee of the Texas Roadhouse, He's worked very hard to get here so lets all make sure to tell him how proud we are of this. (hehe sorry I'm dealing with my kids WAY to much) Robyn Is loving the pool this year and has moved into it. (I cannot keep her out of it) and we have discovered that Sunscreen makes her brake out, (not a very fun thing to wear long pants and shirts and a hat when it's 100 degrees outside) I'm posting a picture of Robyn in her pool gear. She recently had a visit in salt lake and decided she'd had enough and packed her bags and started walking home, she loves going to school and is looking forward to starting head start in the fall. Gracy is starting to talk, and we are seeing a very stubborn streak come out, She loves itsy bitsy spider and popcorn popping she has just learned do as I'm doing and the wise man songs she loves to dance and will upon request she still isn't to sure about people she's not familiar with but is thriving in preschool. Robyn is learning to ride a big girl bike as her little sister is now trying to ride the trike. We have been enjoying some pre-summer thunder storms to witch Robyn looks up in wonder and asks "is that Jesus bowling again mom?" I am working part time and loving it. We hope to get to spend more time with all of our family this summer but because we cannot find a part for our car we may not get to. I'm thinking i may lose 30 lb just from hauling the girls all over town in the bike trailer. well hears hoping to a grand summer.

Robyn and Grace are both getting over this nasty cold, including ear infections, and with Robyn's surgery looming near it is nerve racking. Grace was hit hard and slept for two days, but Miss Robyn rebounded quickly, and is now enjoying her cousin Sammy very much we are making easter cookies today and dying eggs tomorrow the easter bunny is at wal-mart and we're going to go take pictures so keep your eyes open we'll be posting pictures soon.

crazy little ladies

So life in the Crown household is crazy as can be, Robyn I'd have to say is a full blown pre-schooler, and I must add that it's so much fun, she loves to help and is now capable of actually being of some use while she is doing it, she picks up her toys and puts away her dirty laundry, she loves to get me diapers for Grace and feed her baby sister(not that Grace is such a baby anymore). We have a new kitten and she is constantly trying to carry the poor thing with her everywhere, She puts her own straps on in the car (and takes them off again when we're not looking) and buckles herself, she's learned to peddle the tricycle and when the weather is nice goes for rides with daddy (yes we have out grown doo-dah ) she is finally able to put on her own shoes, she has mastered staying dry during the day and is waking to use the potty about 50 % of the time at night, we are working on sleeping in her own bed and rediscovering how much fun a living room can be with out the kids. We are going to speech and OT (occupational therapy) every other week and it's helping her over come some of the developmental delays we've had concerns about. Robyn is as always a little chatterbox and has started telling some fantastic stories. The other day she was in trouble and when told that if she ever committed that crime again I'd have to spank her bum, she pointed at me with that tiny little finger and very seriously said "you leave my bum out of this" She is on her best days a ray of sunshine and on her worse only partly cloudy she's full of sugar and spice and an occasional bit of vinegar the apple of her daddy's eye and a favorite at play group. She is having her teeth worked on on the 15 of April and her eyes checked on the 23,

Grace is getting to be a little vixen she is a full-blown babbler and constantly into mischief she has become attached to her balloon blanket and is inconsolable without it she love books and playing in the little kitchen with her big sister, She has wrapped everyone she meets around her pudgy little finger. She still honks like a goose when she laughs and can ask for food when she's hungry. Grace is a beautiful sleeper and has never given us any trouble sleeping through the night, she loves to spin around in circles till she is so dizzy she can't stand up and racing her sister across the living room and back, she loves to take a bath right up till it's time to wash her hair, and then trying to dump the whole tub out on the bathroom floor. She's super cuddly and the sweetest little helper, she eats well and is spot on in her development she is mommy's little sweetheart and has the sweetest kisses, She's got her daddy's temper and a soft spot for mommies uncle rob, She's the light of our life's and her sweet little smile is enough to warm the coldest heart. Grace is also having her eye's checked on the 23 we had a scary day last week when her left eye started to wonder and the doctor thought she might have had something else going on but it turned out to only be a sinus infection.

Joe is loving his job but a little put out because they are taking their sweet time with hiring him full time, it come's with benefits and a pay increase (something we need desperately) I'm on the waiting list for a job at ON semiconductors witch will let me work hours opposite Joe's and will pay over 10 dollars an hour and has benefits after 90 days. We've figured out away to help my mom pay for surgery and have been busy working on that and have been busy busy busy. We're happy and healthy for the most part and wishing that spring would hurry up and warm up.
